Hand-held trigger sprayers
Trigger sprayers are typically the smallest of the hand-held sprayers. Their compact design is ideal for spraying indoor plants as well as small areas outdoors such as plants in greenhouses, pots on patios and on a balcony. Liquid held in a small spray tank is released as the trigger is squeezed by the user. The Birchmeier Foxy Plus is a market leading hand-held trigger sprayer. Its 500 ml capacity means it is easy to transport and operate, whilst the adjustable nozzle means flexibility in flow and spray pattern produced. The Foxy Plus also has Brichmeier 360° action, meaning it can continue to produce a spray even when held upside down.
Hand-held compression sprayers
Garden compression sprayers allow quick and easy plant watering as well as spraying larger areas of your garden, vegetable patch or allotment with liquids such as fertilizers, pesticides or other garden chemicals. These convenient garden tools, such as the Birchmeier Super Star 1.25 , have a larger capacity and larger spray pattern.
Compression sprayers work by a hand pump generating pressure within the spray tank. When the trigger is then pulled by a user the pressurised tank releases a spray of liquid mix held in the tank.
The Birchmeier Super Star 1.25 has a tank capacity of 1.25 Litres and a spray nozzle which can be adjusted for both direction or spray and patter of droplets (from fine mist to larger droplets) depending on the requirements of the application. This plant sprayer also has the benefit of the Brichmeier 360° action, meaning it can continue to produce a spray even when held upside down. Innovative 360° spray action increases convenience of use and helps ensure all contents of the spray bottle can be emptied.
Powder dusting applications
Some powder products, such as InsectoSec®, are applied as a dust with a puffer rather than diluted into water. For those products applied as a dust, the Birchmeier Bobby is an ideal hand-held manual puffing tool. The puffer bottle holds the powder which is blown out of the nozzle as the sprayer is extended and compressed. Powder applications can be used in various different situations and the Birchmeier Bobby includes a selection of different shaped and size nozzles to allow selection of one best suited for the application required.
Brichmeier equipment best practice
Birchmeier application equipment is designed to last. The below best practice guidelines will help ensure you Birchmeier sprayer remains in the best possible condition:
- Wash out sprayer with clean water after use to remove deposits of products applied. This should include several sprays of the clean water through the spraying mechanism to remove deposits from the moving parts
- Ensure product is dry before storage
- Store out of direct sunlight
- Use a separate device for herbicide applications. If using different devices ensure that used for herbicides is clearly labelled
Benefits to the environment.
Using Birchmeier garden sprayers brings two environmental benefits. Firstly, the high quality of the spray equipment means it will last for many years, it is not an easy-to-break disposable plastic sprayer and so reduces plastic waste. If something on the sprayer does break, they are designed to be repairable, with spare parts available. Secondly, correct application of garden fertilizers, chemicals or pesticides helps ensure the correct dose is applied to the intended area supporting more responsible use of pest control products.
