EWE STOP® Slugs launch

Andermatt has just launched EWE STOP^® Slugs in partnership with CaplinTec. EWE STOP^® Slugs is a natural, chemical-free barrier to protect from slugs and snails.

EWE STOP^® Slug pellets contain lanolin, the oil derived from sheep’s wool. This has many beneficial properties and provides an irritating, dehydrating surface that slugs and snails do not like to cross. It has all the slug-repelling properties of wool, without the traditional wool odour.

The pellets also contain garlic, a slug-repelling odour, so it works as both a physical repellent and odour repellent for maximum effectiveness.

EWE STOP^® Slugs is also good for your plants as it has added seaweed, which will break down to provide nutrients to the soil.

The pellets are sustainably-sourced, made from waste wool, wood and straw material in Wales.

Huge amounts of Welsh sheep wool get wasted every year, which is a shame as both wool and its components have many uses, and are completely natural and biodegradable.

Gardeners can simply sprinkle the pellets around the plants they wish to protect. You do not need to use many – just as long as the pellets form a complete ring around the plant.

The pellets will last about 4 weeks until they start to biodegrade.
