MightyBug - Cucumeris are a Natural And Mighty thrips killer. The predatory mite MightyBug Amblyseius cucumeris is a tiny fast-moving beneficial mite which will run around your plants hunting and eating thrips.

Supplied in an easy-to-use and ready-to-go sachet on a stick, simply place the stick in the soil of the pot plant you want to protect and leave to let the MightyBugs hunt thrips, naturally protecting your plants.

When is it best to use?

The problem:
Thrips are a group of small pest insects which feed on and damage a range of plants around the garden and home. These small insects are difficult to see and often only noticed once their feeding damage starts to appear on leaves and flowers. Thrips feeding on plants results in discolouration of green leaves in small patches where feeding occurs with heavy feeding resulting in a silvering of the leaf, and thrips feeding on flowers results in discolouration. Heavy infestations of thrips feeding on the growing points of plants can result in deformed growth.

Because thrips are so good at hiding, and their presence is often not noticed until after damage has become visible, preventative action with predatory MightyBugs is the the ideal way to protect your plants against the risk of thrips feeding. Amblyseius cucumeris is a naturally ocurring predatory mite. Invisible to the naked eye, these mites are quick moving and, once released onto your plant, will run around hunting and eating thrips. MightyBug Cucumeris on a Stick is an easy to use small sachet each containing hundreds of cucumeris mites, specifically designed on a stick for easy use on small potted plants.

How to use:

Ready to use, simply use the stick to place one sachet a the base of a small plant in a pot. There is an escape hole already in the underside of the sachet which the mites will use to leave and disperse into the soil and leaves of the plant to hunt for thrips to eat. For best results do not place the sticks in direct sunlight to prevent the mites from over heating and do not get the sachet wet when watering the plant.
