When is best to use?

Use traps whenever susceptible plants have fruit. 

The problem: Spotted wing drosophila (SWD) is an increasing pest of soft (raspberry, strawberry) and stone (cherry) fruit. Adult flies are attracted to unripe fruit. Adults lay their eggs in green unripe fruit which can lead to fruit drop or ripe fruit having maggots present.

The product: Liquid bait specifically formulated to attract spotted wing drosophila (SWD, Drosophila suzukii). Product should be used to fill insect monitoring traps.

How to use: Add the required volume of liquid attractant to the trap. The volume required will vary depending on trap design, for example a Drosal Pro trap should be filled with approximately 100 ml. Liquid attractant within a spotted wing drosophila trap should be replaced every few weeks and topped up when levels fall due to evaporation.
